WA Bus and EV Solutions Takes Ownership of AV Trucks
The change also supports investment in the systems and processes to ensure customers get a consistent experience. From the first enquiry and booking through to workshop updates and parts supply, we’re focusing on what matters: clearer communication, simpler touchpoints, and better tools for our team.
About WA Bus and EV Solutions Pty Ltd
WA Bus and EV Solutions is part of the family-owned Vehicle Dealers International Pty Ltd (VDI Australia) business, the national distributor for Yutong buses and its Yutong Bus Centre network. Under the leadership of Peter and Jaclyn Woodward, we’re all about the long-term view, focusing on great customer service and operational support. Drawing on our national distributor and dealership experience, this new ownership brings proven capability in dealer operations, service support and customer systems to support the next phase of growth.
“Our local experience in WA through Yutong Bus Centre WA, and national dealer experience through VDI Australia, has shaped a strong focus on uptime and customer support,” said Peter Woodward, Director, WA Bus and EV Solutions Pty Ltd. “We will apply that same approach at Perth IVECO, building on the team and service customers already trust.”
Introducing Our New Perth IVECO Dealer Principal
Our Perth Dealer Principal, Mike Kennedy, will lead the Perth IVECO operation. He will be working alongside the existing on-site team to build on a strong foundation for customers. With more than 25 years of dealership leadership experience, Kennedy has managed operations across multiple automotive and commercial brands. During his time managing City Motors HSV in Perth, Kennedy oversaw a period of strong national dealership performance before moving into commercial vehicle leadership roles across AHG and later, AP Eagers dealerships.
“Customers do not just measure us on what we sell, they measure us on how easy we are to deal with when they need help,” said Mike Kennedy, Dealer Principal at Perth IVECO. “Our focus is to back the existing on-site team with the right systems and support, so customers receive clear updates and a consistent experience.”
What This Means For You
Under the Perth IVECO trading name, WA Bus and EV Solutions is ensuring customers receive one clear, consistent experience by aligning the dealership’s digital and physical touchpoints. This includes clearer customer communications, consistent brand presentation, and stronger coordination between service and parts.
Scott Lane, General Manager, said the emphasis is on operational improvements that customers can feel. “We are building on a strong base. The goal is a more consistent and predictable experience from booking through to completion. That is what builds trust, and that is what supports sustainable growth.”
IVECO Trucks Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Glen Dyer, said the transition would increase opportunities for the brand in Western Australia.
“Western Australia is an important region for IVECO, and we welcome the next phase in the dealership’s development under the Perth IVECO banner,” Mr Dyer said.
“The transition allows us to further strengthen the customer experience at a local level, and the range of services we can offer owners in meeting their business and fleet needs.”
“Perth IVECO builds on an established team and customer base – we see this as a positive step that supports strong customer engagement across sales, service and parts, while reinforcing the ownership experience customers expect and deserve from the brand.”
As part of the coordinated transition, we’re migrating our digital platforms over to Perth IVECO. We’ve made sure it’s still easy to find us, even if you’re using our old AV Trucks name.
“We proactively communicated any changes customers needed to make from an accounts or billing perspective, to prevent disruption to servicing and support,” Lane said.
“Our intent is simple,” Kennedy said. “Protect continuity, simplify how customers engage with us, and back our team with the tools and support needed to deliver consistently.”
